Convergence is an annual London spring festival of one-off special events and collaborations featuring emerging artists and established pioneers, joining the dots between performance and technology. Through a programme of music, debate, dance, performance, visual art and a digital summit, the festival offers an understanding of how the innovation of technology continues to shape the purpose and shared experience of culture.
Previous special projects include: John Cale & the London Contemporary Orchestra, Simian Mobile Disco & Deep Throat Choir, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Ben Frost, Sunn O))) & Hildur Gudnadottir, Manuel Gottsching, Holly Blakey + Gwilym Gold + Darkstar and James Bridle.
Part of a small team, I worked with partners, artists and stakeholders to raise funds and develop a sustainable operational framework for the festival. Alongside of supporting the overall festival programme, I curated Sessions, a platform for debate, experimental performance and UK music showcase for the British Council.
Convergence Sessions creates a festival hub where a diverse range of artistic practitioners share their insights, ideas and techniques in a creative, interdisciplinary atmosphere, through a series of talks, workshops and demonstrations.
